East Africa is the heartland of the African safari. The four countries — Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda — together host over 100 national parks and game reserves protecting some of the most spectacular wildlife on Earth.
From the Great Wildebeest Migration — the largest annual movement of land animals across the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem — to intimate gorilla trekking in the Virunga volcanoes, the diversity of safari experiences across East Africa is unmatched anywhere in the world.
Whether you're drawn to the wide-open plains of the Masai Mara, the otherworldly Ngorongoro Crater, the tree-climbing lions of Queen Elizabeth National Park, or the misty bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park, there's a perfect safari waiting for every traveller.
East Africa is a year-round safari destination. The dry seasons (June–October and January–February) generally offer the best wildlife viewing as animals concentrate around water sources. The Great Migration peaks in Kenya's Masai Mara from July to October, while Tanzania's Serengeti sees calving season in January–March. Gorilla trekking in Uganda and Rwanda is excellent year-round, with drier conditions June–September and December–February.
As a Nairobi-based safari operator, we have deep local knowledge across all four East African countries. Our team personally inspects every lodge, camp, and route. We work directly with park authorities, local guides, and conservation projects — ensuring authentic experiences, fair pricing, and meaningful impact for the communities and wildlife we visit.
Everything you need to plan an unforgettable African adventure.
