The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's most extraordinary natural wonders. This 260-square-kilometre caldera floor, enclosed by 600-metre walls, creates a self-contained ecosystem supporting around 25,000 large animals.
It is one of the few places in Tanzania where you can see the Big Five in a single day. The crater's soda lake attracts flamingos, and the dense populations of lion, elephant, buffalo, and the critically endangered black rhino make every game drive unforgettable.
